In 1836, architect Peter Notman designed one of Phila’s first great public landscapes. The only cemetery on the National Register of Historic Places, Laurel Hill is the second oldest garden-style cemetery in America.
Following a buffet dinner at 6pm or 7:30pm, we will have a guided tour by flashlight of the many elaborate gravestones, obelisks, & mausoleums that create an outdoor museum of America’s Victorian heritage. Actors will reenact the lives of select people at their graves.
Bring a flashlight & BYOB. Costumes are encouraged; anyone dressed in a full costume receives a $10 gift certificate to The Black Cat. Rain or Shine.
