Mural Arts “Beyond Bars” Mural Tour
Saturday, November 8, 9am.
Meet at White Dog Cafe for coffee & muffins before leaving on a guided “Beyond Bars” Mural Tour, which will give an inside look at the Mural Arts’ innovative art education program in area prisons, and its prisoner re-entry program. We will depart by trolley to view murals created by inmates, juvenile offenders, and community members installed at sites throughout the city. We will return to the Cafe for lunch with Mural Arts director Jane Golden, who will discuss tour topics such as reconciliation, juvenile crime, and re-entry into society after incarceration.
